Burgundy Weather
Burgundy, in the North of France,
has weather similar to England. The main benefit of
Burgundy weather is that it is somewhat sunnier, with on
average an extra hour of sunshine each day as compared
to London. This can be shown by the following table,
where the second column shows the average number of
hours of sunshine per day in London, and the third
column shows the same information for Dijon (the capital
of Burgundy).
Although Burgundy has more sunshine
than London, when it does rain, the rainfall tends to be
heavier. Consequently, as can be seen below, the monthly
rainfall in Burgundy is a bit more than in London. Also,
due to its distance from the moderating influence of the
ocean, summers tend to be a bit warmer and winters a bit
colder in Burgundy as compared to London (see last two
columns, showing the average daily minimum and maximum
temperature). For the latest 5-day weather forecast
